This study tested whether taking a cistanche supplement for 8 weeks, along with a standard training program, helps men aged 18-25 improve their explosive power and recover faster after intense exercise. 56 men, including elite and amateur athletes, took either the supplement or a placebo. Researchers measured jump height, cycling power, and blood markers of muscle damage and recovery to see if cistanche offered extra benefits beyond training alone.
