Cancer Drug's hidden heart risk under investigation
NCT ID NCT01453660
Summary
This study aims to understand how cisplatin chemotherapy might damage blood vessels, which could explain why some patients develop heart problems years later. Researchers will compare blood vessel function in two groups of men with germ cell cancer: those receiving cisplatin and those treated with surgery only. The goal is to gather information that could help protect future patients from long-term side effects.
