New hope for tough blood cancers: first human trial begins

Summary
This is a first-in-human study to find a safe dose of a new drug called cirtuvivint for patients with advanced forms of blood cancer. The trial will test cirtuvivint by itself in patients whose cancer has returned or resisted treatment, and also test it combined with an existing drug for newly diagnosed high-risk patients. The main goal is to understand the side effects and determine the best dose for future studies.
