This study looked at 206 patients with early-stage upper gastrointestinal cancer to find the best treatment for those who also have liver cirrhosis and enlarged veins in the esophagus or stomach. Researchers compared how well and how safely a standard endoscopic surgery worked in patients with and without liver disease.
