Summary

This study looked at whether checking for cancer cells in the blood (circulating tumor cells) can help doctors decide when to switch chemotherapy in women with metastatic breast cancer. 265 women who had already tried two chemotherapies took part. The goal was to see if this approach could help them live longer.
