Could your body clock predict coma awakening?

NCT ID NCT06245434

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study watches how the body's natural daily rhythms (circadian cycles) change as people wake up from a coma after a severe brain injury. Researchers will monitor 90 intensive care patients using behavioral and brain tests to see if these rhythms signal recovery. The goal is to better understand the awakening process and find markers for future treatments.
