NCT ID NCT06226025

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a low-dose melatonin supplement, combined with a behavioral sleep program, can shift the body's internal clock earlier and improve mood and sleep in people with bipolar disorder. About 50 participants with bipolar disorder and a delayed sleep phase will receive either melatonin plus the sleep program or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach can ease depressive symptoms and reset the sleep-wake cycle.
