Summary

This trial is testing whether giving children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) a daily antibiotic called ciprofloxacin during their initial treatment can prevent serious bacterial infections. The study involves over 300 children aged 1-17 in the UK who are receiving standard leukemia therapy. Researchers are comparing the infection rates in children who receive the preventive antibiotic to those who receive the current standard of care.
