First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a newer sedative called ciprofol causes fewer dangerous drops in blood pressure than the standard drug propofol when placing a breathing tube in critically ill ICU patients. About 100 adults aged 18 to 85 who needed emergency intubation took part. The goal was to find a safer sedation method for this high-risk procedure.
