First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested a new anesthetic called ciprofol in 86 children having laparoscopic surgery (like hernia repair or appendix removal). The goal was to see if ciprofol works as well as standard anesthetics for helping children wake up quickly after surgery. Researchers measured how long it took for the breathing tube to be removed and checked for side effects like pain, nausea, and confusion.
