New drug tested for stubborn Hormone-Linked high blood pressure

NCT ID NCT04605549

Summary

This study tested an investigational drug called CIN-107 for adults with primary aldosteronism, a condition where the adrenal glands produce too much of a hormone, causing hard-to-control high blood pressure. The main goals were to see if the drug was safe and if it could effectively lower blood pressure over 12 weeks, with an option for some patients to continue for over a year to check long-term safety.
