New cell therapy trial offers hope when CAR-T fails in leukemia

NCT ID NCT06389305

First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated Apr 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a different type of cell therapy called CIK cells can help children and young adults with a hard-to-treat form of B-cell leukemia. These patients' previous CAR-T cell therapy stopped working within six months. Researchers will compare three groups: one receiving standard care, one receiving CIK cells, and one receiving an enhanced version of CIK cells, to see which approach helps patients live longer without their cancer returning.
