Shocking images on cigar packs aim to deter teen smokers
NCT ID NCT06413797
Summary
This study tested whether adding graphic images to warning labels on little cigars and cigarillos could prevent teenagers from starting or continuing to use these tobacco products. Researchers surveyed 928 young people aged 15-20 who were either current users, had tried these products before, or were at risk of starting. The goal was to provide evidence to help the FDA create more effective warnings that could reduce youth tobacco use and address health disparities.
