New hope for CIDP: blood filtering may rival standard therapy
NCT ID NCT04881682
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two treatments for people with CIDP, a nerve condition causing weakness and numbness. It tests if a blood-filtering method (immunoadsorption) works as well as standard antibody infusions (immunoglobulins) to control symptoms. The study includes 20 adults with CIDP who did not improve with steroids. The goal is to see which treatment better manages the disease long-term.
