New drug aims to stop kidney transplant rejection
NCT ID NCT07641426
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new medicine called CID-103 in adults whose kidney transplants are being rejected by their immune system (antibody-mediated rejection). The trial has two parts: first, to find a safe dose, and second, to see if the drug can stop the rejection. About 58 people will take part, receiving the drug by IV for up to 12 months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
CID-103 (a monoclonal antibody given by IV infusion)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people whose kidney transplants are being rejected and who don't respond to current therapies.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 1/2 trial with only 58 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may cause infections, low blood counts, or infusion reactions, and it may not stop rejection long-term.
