Churches step up to fight chronic disease with walking groups
NCT ID NCT07340099
Summary
This study partners with African Methodist Episcopal (AME) churches in South Carolina to test a community walking and healthy eating program called 'Walk Your Heart to Health.' The goal is to help older African American adults become more physically active to prevent chronic diseases. Researchers will work with about 26 churches over five years to see how well the program works and what helps or hinders its success in real-world settings.
