New hope for women with unexplained chronic pain
NCT ID NCT03640624
Summary
This study is testing whether a coordinated team approach is better than standard care for reducing chronic vulvar pain (vulvodynia). It will involve 106 women who will be randomly assigned to receive either the team-based treatment or standard care from a gynecologist. The goal is to see if the team approach, which includes physical therapy and mindfulness, is more effective at reducing pain and improving quality of life.
