New hope for women suffering daily UTI pain as trial tests stronger antibiotic combo

NCT ID NCT07202949

Summary

This trial is testing whether a 12-week course of higher-dose antibiotics combined with a urinary antiseptic works better than current standard low-dose treatments for women with chronic UTIs. Current treatments often don't work well for people whose UTI symptoms are constant and daily. The study will measure changes in infection levels, symptoms, and quality of life in 192 female participants.
