New study tests Nerve-Blocking procedures for stubborn tailbone pain

NCT ID NCT07247565

Summary

This study compares two different nerve-blocking procedures for people with chronic, non-cancer tailbone pain that doesn't improve with medications. Researchers will test whether using heat (radiofrequency ablation) or alcohol (chemical neurolysis) on a specific nerve cluster provides better and longer-lasting pain relief. The goal is to see which method helps patients feel more satisfied with their pain management.
