Smart implant aims to quiet chronic pain for years

Summary

This study is testing a special spinal cord stimulator that automatically adjusts its signals to better control long-term pain in the back, arms, or legs. About 70 adults with severe chronic pain will use the device for several years. Researchers will track how much pain decreases and watch for any side effects.
