Can a better recovery plan stop Long-Term pain after C-Sections?
NCT ID NCT04919408
Summary
This study aimed to find out how often mothers experience long-term pain after a planned cesarean section when using a modern, multi-step recovery program (called ERAS). Researchers followed 283 mothers, calling them 3 and 6 months after their surgery to ask about pain at the scar site and how it affected their daily life. The goal was to gather information to see if this recovery program helps prevent chronic pain, which previous studies show affects about 1 in 10 women.
