New hope for back pain sufferers: brain training may ease fear of movement

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a type of brain retraining (sensory discrimination training) to standard pain education and exercises can help people with long-term low back pain. About 80 adults aged 19 to 44 with mechanical low back pain will take part. The goal is to reduce fear of movement and improve daily function.
