Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called GDC-6599 in 49 adults with chronic cough that didn't improve with standard treatments. Participants took either the drug or a placebo, then switched after a period. The main goal was to see if the drug reduced how often people coughed over 24 hours, measured by a special recording device. The study also checked for side effects and how participants rated their cough severity.
