Old drugs, new hope for nagging coughs that Won't quit

NCT ID NCT05110144

Summary

This study is testing if two existing medications, duloxetine and amitriptyline, can reduce how often people with a hard-to-treat chronic cough need to cough. It will involve 50 participants who have had a persistent cough for over a year. The study will carefully compare different doses of these drugs against a placebo to see which works best.
