Scientists hunt for the hidden genetic roots of a rare bone cancer

NCT ID NCT01200680

Summary

This study aims to understand the genetic causes of chordoma, a rare and often fatal bone cancer. Researchers are asking patients with chordoma who are the only person in their family with the disease to provide a saliva sample and medical history from home. The goal is to find out how often changes in certain genes are linked to developing this cancer, which could lead to better understanding and future research.
