First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at how a single large dose of choline (a nutrient) affects brain function in 38 healthy postmenopausal women aged 50-65. Participants took either choline or a placebo, and their brain activity was measured with an MRI while they did a memory task. The goal was to see if choline changes brain signals related to working memory.
