Scientists hunt genetic clues to stop heart disease

NCT ID NCT04061018

Summary

This study aimed to understand why some people are very good or very poor at removing cholesterol from their blood vessels, a process linked to heart disease risk. Researchers studied 86 people from a Dallas-based study and their family members who had these extreme abilities. They collected blood and family history to look for genetic and protein patterns that could lead to new treatments.
