New scan aims to spare cancer patients unnecessary surgery
NCT ID NCT07161869
Summary
This study is testing an improved ultrasound method to check if bile duct cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes before surgery. It will observe 250 patients to see if this better scan can accurately identify patients who should not undergo a major operation because the cancer has spread. The goal is to help patients avoid surgery that is unlikely to help them.
