Summary
This pilot study aims to see if researchers can successfully identify and recruit people who have experienced choking (foreign body airway obstruction) in Alberta, Canada. The study will track adults and children over age 2 who received first aid treatments like abdominal thrusts or back blows. The goal is to lay the groundwork for a future, larger study that compares which choking intervention works best and is safest.
