First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested how well everyday people can use three different choking rescue methods: abdominal thrusts (Heimlich maneuver), LifeVac, and Dechoker. Over 130 adults watched a short video and then tried each method on a mannequin. The goal was to see which technique cleared the airway fastest. Results will help guide first aid recommendations.
