Can singing in a choir ease the loneliness of dementia?
NCT ID NCT07011498
Summary
This study is testing whether joining a community choir can help reduce feelings of loneliness for people living with dementia at home and for the family or friends who care for them. About 100 participants will join one of five choirs, and researchers will measure loneliness, mood, depression, and caregiver burden over several months. The goal is to see if this music-based group activity improves well-being and is a worthwhile approach to support these individuals.
