Green leaf extract may ease harsh side effects of rectal cancer therapy
NCT ID NCT05856305
Summary
This study is testing whether adding chlorophyllin, a compound from green leaves, to standard rectal cancer treatment can reduce severe side effects like nausea, diarrhea, and blood problems. About 76 patients with locally advanced rectal cancer will receive either chlorophyllin or a placebo along with their standard chemo-radiotherapy. Researchers will compare side effects, quality of life, and treatment success rates between the two groups.
