Summary
This study tests a gel called Chlorin E6 that is activated by a special light to treat diabetic foot ulcers. The gel is applied to the wound, then a laser light is used to kill bacteria and help the ulcer heal faster. The trial includes 300 adults with diabetes and foot sores that have lasted at least 4 weeks. The goal is to see if this treatment is safe and works better than standard care alone.
