First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether a gel containing chitosan and chlorhexidine can improve healing after removing a lower molar in people with controlled diabetes. Forty adults will receive either the gel or standard care, and researchers will measure wound healing, pain, and swelling. The gel is already used in other settings and may reduce common complications like infection and dry socket.
