Ancient herbal formula enters final test to stop devastating brain bleeds
NCT ID NCT07250035
Summary
This study is testing whether a traditional Chinese oral prescription can help patients who have just had a brain bleed caused by cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA). The goal is to see if this treatment can reduce the chance of having another stroke or brain bleed in the future. About 436 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the herbal medicine or a placebo pill, and neither they nor their doctors will know which one they are taking.
