Herbal cream may soothe radiation burns in breast cancer patients

Summary
This study tests a Chinese herbal cream (with 1% menthol) to temporarily relieve pain and itching caused by radiation therapy. About 40 women with breast cancer who have had a mastectomy and will receive chest radiation will use the cream. The goal is to see if it reduces severe skin side effects and improves quality of life.
