Warning labels on sweeteners may guide Parents' drink choices

NCT ID NCT06842693

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tested whether warning labels on non-nutritive sweeteners (like those in diet drinks) help parents in Chile identify which products contain them and choose healthier options for their children. About 3,900 parents viewed different label designs on drinks and selected which they would buy. The goal was to see if labels steer parents toward unsweetened products and away from both sugar and sweetener options.
