Summary
This study collected and analyzed hospital records for 761 children who had pancreatic surgery in Germany between 2010 and 2023. Researchers wanted to understand how often serious complications or death occurred after these operations in children, since this information was previously missing. By examining this data, they aimed to identify which factors might increase risks for young patients undergoing pancreatic procedures.
