Six-Year study tracks how obesity impacts Kids' breathing as they grow

NCT ID NCT06447246

Summary

This study is re-examining 90 children, now 6 years older, to understand how childhood obesity affects breathing, exercise ability, and feelings of breathlessness over time. Researchers are measuring body fat, lung function, and fitness to see if the effects of obesity get worse as children become teenagers. The goal is to gather knowledge about the long-term health consequences of obesity, not to test a treatment.
