Massive 50,000-Person study tracks childhood cancer survivors for decades

Summary
This study aims to understand the long-term health effects of childhood cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation. Researchers are following 50,000 survivors diagnosed before age 21, along with 10,000 sibling controls, to track health outcomes over many years. The goal is to identify risks for heart problems, second cancers, and other late effects to improve future care for survivors.
