Hidden health toll: study probes lifelong effects for childhood brain tumor survivors

NCT ID NCT07457255

Summary

This study looked at the long-term health problems that can develop in people who were treated for brain tumors as children. Researchers in Slovenia checked 12 survivors for hormone imbalances, weight issues, and other metabolic conditions that can appear years after treatment ended. The goal was to understand these risks better to improve long-term health monitoring and care for future survivors.
