Race to save kids: major trial tests new blood transfusion methods in trauma

Summary
This large, Phase 3 trial aims to find the best way to stop bleeding and save the lives of children with severe traumatic injuries. It will compare giving whole blood versus separated blood components, and test a drug called tranexamic acid (TXA) against a placebo. The main goal is to see which approaches are most effective at reducing deaths within the first 24 hours.
