Summary
This study aims to collect detailed information from 5,000 children in China who have severe infections like sepsis or pneumonia. The goal is to understand how common these illnesses are, what treatments work best, and to create better tools for predicting and diagnosing them. It is an observational study, meaning it collects data from real-world hospital care to improve future treatment guidelines.
