Could solving family stress be key to fighting childhood obesity?
NCT ID NCT06520657
Summary
This small pilot study is testing a new approach to childhood obesity treatment. It first connects families with a community health worker for three months to help address basic needs like food or housing. Then, families join a standard group weight management program. The goal is to see if reducing family stress first makes the obesity treatment more successful for 120 children aged 8-12.
