Finding the quickest, safest way to sedate kids for MRI scans
NCT ID NCT06832683
Summary
This study compared two common anesthesia methods used to keep children still and safe during MRI scans. Researchers tested whether a combination of intravenous drugs (propofol and ketamine) or a gas inhaled through a mask (sevoflurane) led to faster recovery and fewer breathing problems. The goal was to find the safest and most effective option for children aged 3 months to 10 years undergoing these important diagnostic tests.
