Scientists track gut changes from daily chia seeds
NCT ID NCT07218640
Summary
This study aims to understand how adding chia seeds to your diet affects the community of bacteria in your gut (the microbiome) and relates to stress. For 16 weeks, 60 healthy adults will either add a daily serving of chia seeds to their diet or maintain their normal diet, while providing regular stool samples and completing surveys about their diet and stress. The main goal is to gather knowledge about how fiber influences gut bacteria and immune markers, not to provide a direct treatment benefit.
