NCT ID NCT06801860
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested if chewing gum can help people smoke less or quit. 80 adults in Hong Kong who wanted to quit or cut down were split into two groups: one used chewing gum for a week, the other tried to quit on their own. The study looked at whether gum users smoked fewer cigarettes and had better quit rates. Results are not yet available, but the goal was to see if gum is a helpful, easy tool for smoking reduction.
