Summary
This study looked at whether chewing sugar-free gum, drinking fennel tea, or drinking ginger tea can speed up bowel function and improve comfort in women after a cesarean section. A total of 128 new mothers took part, starting the treatments 6 hours after surgery. Researchers measured when bowel sounds returned, when gas and stool passed, and how comfortable the women felt.
