Summary
This project worked with the Cherokee community to adapt and test a culturally relevant program aimed at preventing heart disease. In the second phase, 42 adult Cherokee citizens participated in an intervention designed to strengthen community connection and historical knowledge. The goal was to see if this culturally tailored approach was acceptable and could help lower blood pressure and improve mental well-being.
