Childhood cancer survivors face hidden brain challenges decades later

NCT ID NCT05071001

Summary

This study looked at how chemotherapy affects brain function in adults who were treated for bone cancer as children or teenagers. Researchers followed 92 French survivors for over 10 years after treatment ended to measure memory, thinking skills, and daily challenges. The goal was to understand which factors might lead to long-term brain-related difficulties in cancer survivors.
